Sderot Security Headquarters (SSH) has been in close contact with the Jewish community in Toronto. The Toronto community has been following the situation in Israel, and particularly in Sderot closely, and has decided that they want to contribute to the Sderot residents.
They chose a special project: Selling hundreds of cookbooks and donating the profits to Sderot.
Volunteers from the Jewish high schools in Toronto took care of the logistical aspect of collecting funds and campaigning for Sderot.
Alon Davidi, SSH chairman said there has been a long-standing relationship between the Jewish community in Canada and SSH, who are constantly looking for new ways to help out the Sderot residents.
Members of the community in Toronto came to Sderot to experience the intolerable conditions of the Sderot residents up close. Alon Davidi led them on a tour of the city. While touring they heard the `code red` alarm, and were forced to go into the shelters. The representatives got a real live taste of the insane reality Sderot residents have been living with for years.
