The Committee for a Secure Sderot is setting up Playgrounds in City Centers
In the past month, the Committee for a Secure Sderot has continued to work for the benefit of the residents and has been successful in building four playgrounds in the city at a cost of half a million shekel.
For more than six years, the children of Sderot have been living a complicated existence which does not allow them to experience normal routine. The goal of the Committee for a Secure Sderot is to allow the children of Sderot to continue to live and enjoy life, despite the rockets, by coming to play with their families in the new playgrounds.
The playgrounds have new colorful slides, ping pong tables and other equipment that is used by both children and adults. Despite the feeling of calm and security, the threat of rocket-fire still exists; therefore these playgrounds were set up in close proximity to shelters that are available to the public when necessary.
The Committee for a Secure Sderot, headed by Alon Davidi, sees the development of the city and the needs of the children who live there as top priority. We need to give the families who live here a feeling of support and security, as that is the only way to get through this difficult period.
The new playgrounds are part of a chain of activities for children that the Committee is organizing. Soon we will release details about the next big hit in Sderot: A new Secure Gymboree!
